We headed to California for the break. Orson and Rachael had some dental work to do, and I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of their misery at Grandpa Webber's office. Then, we managed to have some fun.
It's odd that growing up near Los Angeles, I never once went to the La Brea Tarpits. It's only about 8 miles from the Los Angeles Temple. So, we took the kids, and it was very interesting. They have a great museum and you can walk around the grounds and see all the pits that are oozing tar. Boy does it smell yummy.

Looks like a fun trip - I've always wanted to visit the tar pits! The picture of your family at the temple was very cute, too!

Dear Barbarello~
I am a SLACKER at 5:45 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and even 6:30 a.m. And I come up with the LAMEST EVER excuses for not joining in on the exercise program that we set out to do. So... Our summer fling is NOT over, I am not breaking up with you. Afterall, you did run with me in the sweaty, sticky heat of June, July and August.. and you saw me in a swim suit for hours of laps in your crystal blue pool...So, you really are stuck. Cheer up~ little one... Peaches are put up, Thyroid is checking out to function, Iron is (what I need to lift) on the rise, Nate is home and I'm going to bed. So I can get my hind parts out of bed in the a.m. Get ready girl... I'm running with you in the morning.
Did I mention that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Holt family? I do. I love that you vacation together. I love that you all look like you love eachother. I love that your kids are rediculously talented. I love that you worry about them. I love that you are all great teachers and babysitters. I love that every time I see any of you, your catchy smiles light up my face! I LOVE the HOLTS! Looks like more fun was had.
